</div><div><br /></div><div> "Hello. My name is Eudora. Yes, I am a turkey vulture. Boy, do I have a story to tell you."</div><div> Once upon a time in the kingdom of Malari, there was a beautiful princess named Keniah. She loved to perch at the castle's walls and look out over the kingdom. One brisk morning as she sat looking over her nightly kingdom, she noticed something different. There was a new bird in town. This bird was nothing like any of the others. His plumage was colorful. He had feathers of purple, gold, turquoise, and white. <i>How did he get like that? Did he fall into one of the human's chemical pools on the westside? I pray not.</i></div><div> She opened her magnificent wings and glided down to where the stranger sat. She walked around him checking him out.</div><div> "Who are you?" she asked.</div><div> "My name is Tremont. Who might you be?" he replied with a smile.</div><div> "How did your feathers get like that? You are a turkey vulture like us, are you not?"</div><div> He clicked his beak together a couple of times then walked into her personal space.</div><div> "Though I am like you, I am also unique. You see my father was a turkey vulture, my mother was a peacock. You would think this wouldn't normally happen but it did. I'm living proof. Does it matter what I am?" </div><div> His head bobbed back and forth as he spoke. A shadow flew over them and they both looked up. A flock of storks flew overhead heading to only God knew where. He looked over to her but she was gone.<i> Where did she go?</i> He looked all around but did not see her anywhere. <i>Guess I blew it.</i> Sadly, he turned to walk away.</div><div> Keniah walked inside of the palace thinking. <i>He was certainly a mighty fine looking bird. </i>The sound of ruffled wings grabbed her attention and she hurried to the throne room.</div><div> "Why do you do these things, sire? I can't stand your whining!" Loki the paige stated.</div><div> "Do not speak to your King in that manner!" King Rion bellowed. </div><div> "My apologies, sire."</div><div> "Be off with ye, Loki."</div><div> Though he was hopping mad, Loki did as he was told and turned to leave. He nearly bumped into Princess Keniah.</div><div> "Father, is everything alright?" she asked bowing before him.</div><div> "What do you want daughter? I am busy."</div><div> She looked up at him sadly. Feeling a little guilty for taking his anger out on her, he softened the look on his face.</div><div> '"I'm sorry daughter."</div><div> She sighed, "I saw a stranger in the kingdom this morning."</div><div> "And what of the stranger interests you?"</div><div> "I don't think he is a vulture at all."</div><div> "Why do you say that?"</div><div> "Well, his feathers are not like ours. They are very colorful while ours are shades of black. He says his mother is not one of us."</div><div> "I see."</div><div> He brought his wing up to his face and rubbed his beak.</div><div> "What do you wish for me to do?"</div><div> "Nothing Father. I can handle it alone."</div><div> "Yes, now go."</div><div> She turned to leave the room.</div><div> "Father, you didn't tell me what's going on between you and Loki."</div><div> "Don't you worry your little head about it."</div><div> She shook her head as she left the room. She wondered why her father refused to let her help him. She went to her room and laid down. Yawning, she decided to take a nap.</div><div> A strange bird climbed through the open window of the princess's room. He looked around carefully. He then covered her beak and flew them both out of the window. She didn't even resisted as she was in a deep sleep. <i>This was too easy.</i> He looked back at the palace but no one was persuing him. </div><div><br /></div><div><b>Watch for the next part of the story next week!</b></div>Author Pam Funkehttp://www.blogger.com/profile/04531816756922890942noreply@blogger.com0tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-8224650139999540467.post-6482021866728788312021-04-28T16:20:00.000-07:002021-04-28T16:20:28.768-07:00Pirates, Oh My!<p></p><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><a href="https://1.bp.blogspot.com/-X8iJZrSfBJ4/YInsuXT9RVI/AAAAAAAAMwE/VpH3h1FYproKtzBNXIalfvjHzPbiACugwCLcBGAsYHQ/s500/51SPflzefRL._SY346_.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="clear: left; float: left; margin-bottom: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" data-original-height="500" data-original-width="313" height="320" src="https://1.bp.blogspot.com/-X8iJZrSfBJ4/YInsuXT9RVI/AAAAAAAAMwE/VpH3h1FYproKtzBNXIalfvjHzPbiACugwCLcBGAsYHQ/s320/51SPflzefRL._SY346_.jpg" /></a></div><b>Death Island: The Discovery by Kelsey Ketch</b><p></p><ul class="a-unordered-list a-nostyle a-vertical a-spacing-none detail-bullet-list" style="background-color: white; box-sizing: border-box; color: #0f1111; font-family: "Amazon Ember", Arial, sans-serif; font-size: 14px; margin: 0px 0px 1px 18px; padding: 0px;"><li style="box-sizing: border-box; list-style: none; margin: 0px 0px 5.5px; overflow-wrap: break-word;"><span class="a-list-item" style="box-sizing: border-box;"><span class="a-text-bold" style="box-sizing: border-box; font-weight: 700 !important;">ASIN : </span><span style="box-sizing: border-box;">B08KWCBGKY</span></span></li><li style="box-sizing: border-box; list-style: none; margin: 0px 0px 5.5px; overflow-wrap: break-word;"><b>Purchase book here: <a href="https://www.amazon.com/Death-Island-Discovery-Kelsey-Ketch-ebook/dp/B08KWCBGKY" target="_blank">Kindle</a> | <a href="https://www.amazon.com/Death-Island-Discovery-Kelsey-Ketch/dp/B08P1FC9KK" target="_blank">Paperback</a></b></li></ul><p><i> <span style="background-color: white; color: #333333; font-family: "Amazon Ember", Arial, sans-serif; font-size: 14px;">After arriving at Death Island, Meriden Cummings became haunted by dreams of a young Mayan woman’s death. This pirate story was amazing. I loved how the author drew me into the story and then never let me go. This is definitely NOT a Pirates of the Caribbean type of story though I did picture the pirates off Jack Sparrow's ship during the pirate attack. Sorry, I couldn't help myself. I must warn you though for there is a little profanity in the book but it was to add to the character of the pirates. So, if you're like me just skip over the word(s) and keep reading, it's a pretty good story. I'm off to read the next book in the series. I definitely recommend this for anyone wanting a good pirate story.</span></div>Author Pam Funkehttp://www.blogger.com/profile/04531816756922890942noreply@blogger.com0tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-8224650139999540467.post-22835199960235895622021-04-28T16:12:00.008-07:002021-04-28T16:12:57.056-07:00Twilight What?<p> </p><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><a href="https://1.bp.blogspot.com/-l-5uHBVU-dQ/YInqT6j-xSI/AAAAAAAAMv8/PHQoL5_Wd8UodY58ZCaZultpGDvrJ5j4wCLcBGAsYHQ/s346/51SPflzefRL._SY346_.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="clear: left; float: left; margin-bottom: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" data-original-height="346" data-original-width="230" height="320" src="https://1.bp.blogspot.com/-l-5uHBVU-dQ/YInqT6j-xSI/AAAAAAAAMv8/PHQoL5_Wd8UodY58ZCaZultpGDvrJ5j4wCLcBGAsYHQ/s320/51SPflzefRL._SY346_.jpg" /></a></div><b>Eternal Curse by Kara Leigh Miller</b><p></p><ul class="a-unordered-list a-nostyle a-vertical a-spacing-none detail-bullet-list" style="background-color: white; box-sizing: border-box; color: #0f1111; font-family: "Amazon Ember", Arial, sans-serif; font-size: 14px; margin: 0px 0px 1px 18px; padding: 0px;"><li style="box-sizing: border-box; list-style: none; margin: 0px 0px 5.5px; overflow-wrap: break-word;"><span class="a-list-item" style="box-sizing: border-box;"><span class="a-text-bold" style="box-sizing: border-box; font-weight: 700 !important;">ASIN : </span><span style="box-sizing: border-box;">B08CY5Q9WG</span></span></li></ul><p><b>Purchase book here: <a href="https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B08CY5Q9WG" target="_blank">Kindle</a> | <a href="https://www.amazon.com/Eternal-Curse-Cursed-Book-1/dp/B08J5CQ44K" target="_blank">Paperback</a></b></p><p><span style="background-color: white; color: #333333; font-family: "Amazon Ember", Arial, sans-serif; font-size: 14px;"><i>After pulling the plug on her mother’s life support, seventeen-year-old Chloe Madison moves to live with relatives she hardly knows. I hope that you are all doing well out there in the world. As for me, today is a good day. I am actually getting to relax and not have to run for my life today. That in itself is a good thing. I guess that you are all probably wondering why it is that I am in hiding, right? Well, I wish that I knew. All that I can remember is returning back to my hotel after a meeting with the group in the situation room (it's in that beautiful building I told you about that Nicolaitanes' company built for the military. He's built them all across the United States. I bet you didn't know that.) Anyway, a little voice within me (I wonder if that was God. I'm still trying to figure out if He's really there and if He'll accept me. I've done some things that I'm really not proud of. Does anybody know how I find out?) told me to pack my bags and leave the hotel. Well, when I was walking out of the hotel the whole place blew sky high. I don't remember much about it.<br />

A pretty little lake that I found while exploring the military post here.</div>
<br />
The next thing I remember is waking up in the hospital a few days later and Dr. Ezekiel White telling me that I was extremely lucky to still be alive. I just looked at him because I had no idea of what it was that he was referring to. He told me that the hotel that I had been staying in had been bombed. I couldn't believe it. I'm the only survivor. I wonder how many people died. Who planted a bomb at the Hinesville Inne? Why would anybody do something like that? Seems kind of surreal doesn't it?<br />

<span style="font-size: x-small;">I love sitting out on the dock out in Sunbury. Don't know when I'll get to do that again. (sigh)</span></div>
<br />
Anyway, I guess that Nicolaitanes wasn't happy with that (my still being alive) because he came storming into the hospital after me. (Hey, do you think that he's the one who had the bomb planted at the hotel? I wonder.) Dr. White, bless his heart, whisked me away from there and hid me. That was really kind of him, especially since he didn't really even know me. I'm still not sure why he helped me that day. Why would you help a perfect stranger like that? But irregardless of why he did it, I am so thankful that he did. Andrew and Tara have been hunting me down ever since Dr. White took me from the hospital. The strange thing is I still don't know why they are. I have no idea why Nicolaitanes is so desperate to get me back. You see, I have amnesia and I only remember bits and pieces of things. I'm still trying to figure out what it was exactly that I was doing working with the group. Perhaps you guys can help me figure that out. I don't know about you, but I am really excited about the Apocalypse series being released. During the world's current pandemic and craziness, it's hard to imagine that things are only going to get worse before it gets better. Am I right?<p></p><p>Do you want to know what's coming next? Take a look into this amazing series that touches on the prophecies discussed in the Holy Bible. Granted, I don't know exactly what will happen as only God knows that. This is my idea of what happens during the world's darkest hour.</p><p>Though this series may be like the popular Left Behind series by Tim LaHaye and Jerry Jenkins, I believe the storyline is very different. Though I tell part of the story through the eyes of the evil one, I also follow every day folks who make bad choices but soon find the light. I believe the series is not only entertaining but you, the reader, can learn from it as well. So, I hope that you will go and read the series for yourself. Each year I participate and strive to write an entire book in 30 days or less. This year I decided to do a fairytale retelling of The Nightingale. I chose this story because it is not one that is well-known. The original story tells of an emperor who had everything but was unhappy. A little bird called a nightingale would come and sing to the emperor. He liked it so much that he caged the animal. This caused the little bird to become sad and not want to sing anymore. With deep regret, the emperor set the bird free. The little nightingale fled and did not return. The emperor became so distraught that an inventor made him a mechanical bird that would sing whenever he wanted. This did not satisfy the emperor. He wanted the little bird to return. </div><div class="separator" style="clear: both;"><br /></div><div class="separator" style="clear: both;">So, in my story instead of using the little bird, nightingale, my emperor has everything he ever wanted except love. He finds a young girl who comes to the palace to sing for the emperor. She sings so beautifully the emperor falls in love with her but would she ever love him? He isn't a handsome man and his body is obese. She is the nightingale of my story. Something happens and she is no longer a part of his life, hence the little bird that fled. He goes into a deep depression and an inventor creates an AI, the artificial nightingale, to replace her. Not satisfied, young girls around the world are abducted and brought to the palace to sing in a golden cage. He does not find the right replacement at first but does he ever find a replacement? Well, you'll need to read the book when it comes out. So, watch for the book NIGHTINGALE coming soon!</div><div class="separator" style="clear: both;"><br /></div><div class="separator" style="clear: both;"><br /></div><div class="separator" style="clear: both;"><br /></div>Author Pam Funkehttp://www.blogger.com/profile/04531816756922890942noreply@blogger.com0tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-8224650139999540467.post-59190297271012284722020-10-13T20:52:00.005-07:002020-11-16T08:04:03.407-08:00NEW RELEASE<p> </p><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><a href="https://1.bp.blogspot.com/-VOUL6IFLMJU/X4Z0J0gRrfI/AAAAAAAAJ-o/bWsPxxLZYYotsFKTfd-Uk3zFn9yomNtPwCLcBGAsYHQ/s1999/106988979_405368087064252_7547322786208064301_n.jpg" style="clear: left; float: left; margin-bottom: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" data-original-height="1999" data-original-width="1333" height="400" src="https://1.bp.blogspot.com/-VOUL6IFLMJU/X4Z0J0gRrfI/AAAAAAAAJ-o/bWsPxxLZYYotsFKTfd-Uk3zFn9yomNtPwCLcBGAsYHQ/w266-h400/106988979_405368087064252_7547322786208064301_n.jpg" width="266" /></a></div><p></p><div class="kvgmc6g5 cxmmr5t8 oygrvhab hcukyx3x c1et5uql ii04i59q" style="animation-name: none; font-size: 18.75px; margin: 0px; overflow-wrap: break-word; transition-property: none; white-space: pre-wrap;"><div dir="auto" style="animation-name: none; transition-property: none;"><div class="kvgmc6g5 cxmmr5t8 oygrvhab hcukyx3x c1et5uql ii04i59q" style="animation-name: none; margin: 0px; overflow-wrap: break-word; transition-property: none;"><div dir="auto" style="animation-name: none; transition-property: none;"><span style="font-family: verdana;">Hello my amazing fans. <br />
Grace Peters spent much of her childhood engrossed in the church. Her family spent every waking moment at Full Gospel Tabernacle when they weren't busy with everyday life. After one bad thing after another, she begins to doubt the existence of God as she listens to her godless friends, school teachers, as well as music and television programs.<br />
<br />
As she goes through life, many different things happen that seem to confirm her growing doubts. Where is God? Does He even truly exist? As far as Grace is concerned, He is now a myth. It isn't until a cataclysmic event happens in her life that compels her to return to her faith in hopes that God truly exists. Hello, my name is Israel Jacobs. I am 14 years old. I just returned from a most unusual, but exciting trip to Israel with my family. My mom is a world famous archaeologist, who is bent on proving the Bible to the world. Although my mom's job is pretty cool, I'm not all that into the religion thing. At least I didn't used to be until now. My sister and I accompanied her on her latest archaeological dig in Syria where I found a magical stone that transported me on adventure that you will never believe. Can you believe that I am actually witnessing what she is trying to prove? I still cannot believe it myself and I am actually witnessing it with my own eyes. Come join me on my adventure through time and on my own special quest. Come with me and we'll discover God together.</span></span></div>

There are so many like me in the world. Not all of us choose to follow the one called Lucius. Many of us, like me, are seeking ways to reconcile our people to THE ALMIGHTY ONE. <span style="background-color: white; color: #111111; font-family: "amazon ember" , "arial" , sans-serif;">This is the second book in the series and it was amazing to read as the first one was. </span><span style="background-color: white; color: #111111; font-family: "amazon ember" , "arial" , sans-serif;">I want spoil it, but have to say, Pam Funke really has an amazing mind to create such a book, as a Christian she is. </span><span style="background-color: white; color: #111111; font-family: "amazon ember" , "arial" , sans-serif;">Putting God first with the fallen angles and putting them in the right place where they belong, as they follow Lucifer. </span><span style="background-color: white; color: #111111; font-family: "amazon ember" , "arial" , sans-serif;">Hmm, but now i have to wait to get the conclusion of what has started in book 1. with Kara the most loving person and a great leader.</span><br />
<span style="background-color: white; color: #111111; font-family: "amazon ember" , "arial" , sans-serif;">This book is not only for Christian, it's a book like Davinci Code and Indiana Jones together. Yes i agree to that. </span><span style="background-color: white; color: #111111; font-family: "amazon ember" , "arial" , sans-serif;">The characters are well. so it's very enjoyable to read. ~ Review by Gigi Sedlmayer</span>Author Pam Funkehttp://www.blogger.com/profile/04531816756922890942noreply@blogger.com0tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-8224650139999540467.post-50921166318780037542020-06-01T18:40:00.000-07:002020-06-01T18:40:00.005-07:00Five Star Review Silver Wings and All<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">

<span style="background-color: white; color: #111111; font-family: "Amazon Ember", Arial, sans-serif; font-size: 13px;"> </span><span style="background-color: white; color: #111111; font-family: "Amazon Ember", Arial, sans-serif;"> This novel was amazing- it was action packed, full of vivid and fully complex interesting characters, that you want to know more about, and the pacing was spot on- If you like novels with supernatural anything, this is a great book. It's light enough for teenagers to read,but they wont realize it. I happen to love books on magic, ghosts and the paranormal, but this one was on angels, and it wasn't all sunshine and roses, which tends to be the stereotype, but a level of humanity imbued onto them, like no other. The fragility of the characters just made them better, and you could see how Kara moved in the hero journey. The only thing I am really unhappy with is that I have to wait for the sequel, to find out what happens next, but God is very mysterious, so maybe leaving her quest unfinished is intentional, time will tell. ~ Review by Winifred</span>Author Pam Funkehttp://www.blogger.com/profile/04531816756922890942noreply@blogger.com0tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-8224650139999540467.post-67210532586532856062020-06-01T18:35:00.005-07:002020-06-01T18:35:50.529-07:005 Star Review For Fires of Discovery<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">

<i> My name is Raven Carrington and I've been plagued with these horrifying </i><i>dreams about a witch. Crazy right? Who knew the dreams were only the </i><i>beginning? Soon, after the nightmares begin, I obtain powers and </i><i>discover the sisters in my dreams are related to me. A stranger contacted me on my laptop shortly after I discovered that I have powers. No, really I mean it. You should have seen it, I was totally freaked out. My parents, however, were not even the slightest bit disturbed by this. I don't know which is worse....the fact that I have powers or the fact that my parents act as though they were expecting it. How can a Christian family have a witch in it? We're descendants of one of the 12 disciples. This is so totally weird. I don't know what to do. It's not like I can talk to anyone about it. I'd be on an one-way trip to looney land. Straight jacket anyone? No thanks, not for me. Am I a witch or are my powers the same as the disciples had? Is it possible the sisters did too but were mistaken for witches during the 1800’s because people of that time were afraid? How is it possible that there were witches in this very Christian family? Yeah, that’s what I want to know too.</i><br />
<i> The 1800's is not the coolest place to learn about how to be a witch. I'm not even sure that I am one yet. I've found the three sisters from my dreams, who are about to be killed for practicing witchcraft. So heart-breaking. I've only seen them use their powers for good. How does that make them a bad person? What will happen to me if I'm discovered? One, I have witch-like powers and two, I'm totally out of my century.</i><br />
<i> </i><span style="background-color: white; color: #111111; font-family: "Amazon Ember", Arial, sans-serif;">Raven has unique powers called convergence of powers. She must choose which powers she wanted. It was a tough choice. These are her adventures. Would she denounce her evil powers or will she free her family from the family curse.</span><br />
<span style="background-color: white; color: #111111; font-family: "Amazon Ember", Arial, sans-serif;"> This was a very good read! A lot of dream teleportation going on. But it kept and held my interest. A different writing from this author but a good choice. <span style="font-family: "Bookman Old Style","serif"; font-size: 14.0pt;">He
crushed the links of the chain toward the middle of the chain, pulverizing it.
It fell in two pieces onto the bed. He quickly freed the boy from the chain.</span></div>

<div class="MsoNormal" style="line-height: normal; margin-bottom: .0001pt; margin-bottom: 0in; text-indent: .3in;">
<span style="font-family: "Bookman Old Style","serif"; font-size: 14.0pt;">Ipos
turned to face Micah.</span></div>
<div class="MsoNormal" style="line-height: normal; margin-bottom: .0001pt; margin-bottom: 0in; text-indent: .3in;">
<span style="font-family: "Bookman Old Style","serif"; font-size: 14.0pt;">“Do

<div class="MsoNormal" style="line-height: normal; margin-bottom: .0001pt; margin-bottom: 0in; text-indent: .3in;">
<span style="font-family: "Bookman Old Style","serif"; font-size: 14.0pt;">The
kid nodded as he slowly got up from the bed. He followed Ipos and Phillip over
to the bed and up into the duct. Ipos pulled up the vent cover behind them.
They crawled as quietly as they were able to in the metal-air duct. Arieana was
waiting a few feet ahead.</span></div>
<div class="MsoNormal" style="line-height: normal; margin-bottom: .0001pt; margin-bottom: 0in; text-indent: .3in;">
<span style="font-family: "Bookman Old Style","serif"; font-size: 14.0pt;">“I

<span style="font-family: "Bookman Old Style","serif"; font-size: 14.0pt;">“What?”</span></div>
<div class="MsoNormal" style="line-height: normal; margin-bottom: .0001pt; margin-bottom: 0in; text-indent: .3in;">
<span style="font-family: "Bookman Old Style","serif"; font-size: 14.0pt;">“You’ll
get the details later. Right now, we must go before we’re discovered,” Ipos
stated.</span></div>
<div class="MsoNormal" style="line-height: normal; margin-bottom: .0001pt; margin-bottom: 0in; text-indent: .3in;">
<span style="font-family: "Bookman Old Style","serif"; font-size: 14.0pt;">“Okay.”</span></div>
<div class="MsoNormal" style="line-height: normal; margin-bottom: .0001pt; margin-bottom: 0in; text-indent: .3in;">
<span style="font-family: "Bookman Old Style","serif"; font-size: 14.0pt;">The
four of them silently continued their journey through the dust and spider webs
to the end of the duct exiting on the roof. Micah smiled, and tears formed when
he saw the sun and blue sky. <i style="mso-bidi-font-style: normal;">I thought
I’d never see this again.</i> He took in a deep breath. The smell of a nearby
forest tickled his nose. </span></div>
<div class="MsoNormal" style="line-height: normal; margin-bottom: .0001pt; margin-bottom: 0in; text-indent: .3in;">
<span style="font-family: "Bookman Old Style","serif"; font-size: 14.0pt;">“Thank

<span style="font-family: "Bookman Old Style","serif"; font-size: 14.0pt;">“You
owe us nothing,” Phillip replied.</span></div>
<div class="MsoNormal" style="line-height: normal; margin-bottom: .0001pt; margin-bottom: 0in; text-indent: .3in;">
<span style="font-family: "Bookman Old Style","serif"; font-size: 14.0pt;">“We
are not out of the woods yet,” Ipos added. He looked around nervously. “We need
to go.”</span></div>
<div class="MsoNormal" style="line-height: normal; margin-bottom: .0001pt; margin-bottom: 0in; text-indent: .3in;">
<span style="font-family: "Bookman Old Style","serif"; font-size: 14.0pt;">“What
about the others?” Arieana asked.</span></div>
<div class="MsoNormal" style="line-height: normal; margin-bottom: .0001pt; margin-bottom: 0in; text-indent: .3in;">
<span style="font-family: "Bookman Old Style","serif"; font-size: 14.0pt;">“We
cannot afford to get caught. Besides, they were not in the room with Micah,”
Phillip replied.</span></div>
<div class="MsoNormal" style="line-height: normal; margin-bottom: .0001pt; margin-bottom: 0in; text-indent: .3in;">
<span style="font-family: "Bookman Old Style","serif"; font-size: 14.0pt;">Arieana
rolled her eyes. “No, I meant Kara and Anna Marie, or have you forgotten about
them?”</span></div>
